The annual flag disposal ceremony conducted by the Monroe County American Legion Auxiliary will be held on Sunday, June 8, at the Chili Post #1830, Chili-Scottsville Road at 2 p.m.

Torn and tattered, unserviceable flags will be inspected by Post Legion members and the Chili Color Guard Red Knights will conduct the burning.

National Champions Lady Liberties Color Guard, also of Chili, will post colors. The Junior Auxiliary and younger SA1 members will provide the entertainment.

Sharon Arthur, 1st Vice President of 7th District and Monroe County Americanism chairman, is in charge of the program. The public is invited.
