Hilton High School Alumni Hall of Fame selects inductees
The Hilton High School Alumni Hall of Fame will induct thirteen outstanding Hilton alumni the weekend of June 13-14, according to Hilton Superintendent of Schools John Cooper. "We are immensely proud of our alumni and the Hall of Fame is a wonderful way of recognizing their accomplishments," Dr. Cooper said.
The inductees were selected from a field of 25 nominees. Nominees must have graduated 15 years ago (Class of 1988 or before). The Hall of Fame was established in 1999 and currently has 17 members.
Those selected for induction this year are: Steven V. Ayers '76 - Assistant Superintendent for Business, Hilton Central School District; Luther A. Bauch '28 - Successful farmer (1935-50) in Parma, owner of bean brokerage firm, retired; Thomas E. Burger '64 - owner, Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton, NY; William Carter '60 - mayor, Village of Hilton; James Gaden, D.O. '79 - Family Medicine Practice, Kendall; Col. Stephen W. Gardner '68 -Col. and Senior Army Advisor for Washington State National Guard, Olalla, WA; John D. Klock '32 - In Memoriam - former owner Klock Oil Company, former Hilton Board of Education President, Hilton; Theodore J. Maier Ph.D. '78 - professor of English and poet, Clovis Community College, Clovis, New Mexico; James Marron '82 - professor of classical guitar, University of Ashland, Ashland, Ohio; Edward Mizma Ph.D. '51 - retired Chemical Engineer EKC, music director, Webster, NY; David B. Snyder Ph.D. '71 - physicist, NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio; Milon Townsend '74 - internationally known glass artist, Hilton; Benson Zoghlin M.D. '76 - Family Practice Physician, Hilton.
