Steve Hendershott has called for a series of primary campaign debates. "This campaign should be based upon issues and the candidates records while in public office," said Hendershott. "There is no better way to do this than by entering a public forum, debate, and discussion and I propose that Tracy Logel join me in doing so."

Logel, currently county legislator for the 3rd District, is challenging incumbent Hendershott for the Republican endorsement for Chili supervisor.

Hendershott suggested that a series of debates take place sometime between August 18 and 29. This would be close enough to the primary election so as to provide the voters with the most benefit and knowledge about the candidates, he said.
