The Bergen Fire Department has announced the purchase of a 2003 nine-passenger Chevrolet van, to its fleet of vehicles. This van was paid for from non-tax resources such as the firefighters' fundraising and will be utilized for training, funeral details, additional fundraising as well as some types of emergency calls. "This van allows us to provide a greater service to our firefighters by transporting them to functions and the various county and state training which we take," stated Brian Stone, Fire Chief for the Town and Village of Bergen "These guys and gals give a lot and we want to make training and other requirements as easy as possible."
