Church celebrates Heritage Sunday
The United Methodist Church of North Chili is celebrating Heritage Sunday on June 22 as part of its Sesquicentennial (150 years) of service to the community. Bishop Ruth Ellen Hoyle will officiate at the 10 a.m. service followed by a dedication of a memorial garden and flag poles at 11:30 a.m. A picnic lunch will follow. Former pastors Reverend Paul Cauvel, Reverend Phillip Schall and Reverend Timothy Foster will be attending.
As the church celebrates their Sesquicentennial, Pastor Lynn Reece used the 1953 communion set from the memorial cabinet at a recent communion service.
