Ellis, Adeline I., Sunday, June 8, 2003 at age 82 in DeLand, Florida. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Howad V. Ellis; her daughter Barbara (Joseph) Marhatta of North Chili; four grandchildren, Denise Spitz, Joseph R. Marhatta, Lynn (Mark) Huber and Michael (Sherry) Marhatta; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Henry, Joseph (Lillian) and John (Delores) Wawrzaszek; nieces; nephews.

•Knab, George, June 18, 2003. Survived by his wife, B. Nancy Knab; children, David (Chris), Richard Knab, Mary Alice Kearse; grandchildren, Nichole, Jennifer Kearse, Nathan, Raychel, William and Kristy Knab; also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Mack, Adelaide M. (Fischer), June 17, 2003, age 87. Predeceased by her brother, Tom. Survived by her husband, Joseph; children, Kathleen (Ron) Carlton, Cynthia Webb,, Pamela (Tom) Nagel; brother, James (Dorothy) Fischer; sister, Lois Mulcahy; sister-in-law, Madeline Fischer; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Shannon, Hugh M. "Mike," Wednesday, June 18, 2003. He is survived by his sons John (Kris) Shannon, Kevin Shannon and James Shannon; his daughters, Deborah Shannon, Sonya Shannon and Tonya Shannon; his brother Gerald (Sylvia) Shannon; his sister Delia (William) Fear; eight grandchildren; a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Mike was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company and was involved for many years with the Boy Scouts of America in Hilton.

ALBION

Makowski, Adele J., age 66, died June 20, 2003 at the Orleans County Nursing Home after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Jerome of 45 years; a son, Christopher J. (Donna) Makowski of Albion; daughters, Page Makowski of Albion, Nadine (Brian) Blackburn of Arizona; grandchildren, Jason Georgitso of Arizona, Paul Makowski and Jessica Makowski both of Albion, Brianna Blackburn and Nicole Blackburn both of Arizona; one great grandson Cyrus Georgitso of Arizona; sister Christine Page of Rochester. Also survived by brother-in-law, Ray (Paula) Makowski of Florida; sister-in-law, Marie Makowski of Florida; many nieces and nephews.

•Passarelli, Roosevelt J., age 93, Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Batavia after a long illness. He was a World War II veteran, worked at the Albion Post Office, and was a member of the American Legion Sheret Post 35, the VFW, St. Joseph's Church and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by brothers, Adolph Passarelli of Kansas City, William Passarelli of Syracuse; sister Florine Navarra of Albion; eight nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held June 27 at St. Joseph's Church. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery with military honors.


BROCKPORT

•Le Fever, Ann A., Of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Brockport on June 17, 2003. She is survived by her mother, June Smith; step-fathers, Chancey Bird Jr. and Dale Smith; two brothers, Bernard Le Fever Jr. and Thomas Le Fever; one sister, Kandee Curl; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

CHURCHVILLE

•Hansen, Clara L. (Bresslin), June 19, 2003 at age 78. She was predeceased by her son, Gerald Hansen. She is survived by her sister, Helen (Charles) Beaman; several nieces and nephews including Gloria Stein; several great nieces and nephews. Clara was a member of SCOR and was a retiree of General Electric Company.

HILTON

Lemcke, Richard A., June 21, 2003 age 81. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Betty (Merritt) Lemcke. He was predeceased by his son, Wayne, 2000. He is survived by his children, Linda (Carol Hart) Armstrong, Christine Lemcke, Becky Lemcke (Gary Shumpert); seven grandchildren, Stacy (Stuart) Gale, Heath Armstrong (Danielle Raymond), Jennifer Lemcke (John Tanis), Lisa (Enri) Quaresma, Renee Lemcke, Mark Lemcke (Bridgett Littoff) and Jake Lowery; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Olivia, Cody and Jack; his brothers and sisters, Arthur (Helen), Florence Frey, Helen Kramer, John (Gladys), Harold (Shirley), Allen (Barbara), Shirley Carl, Gerald (Joyce), Geraldine (Don) Dow, Larry (Arletta) and Donald (Jackie) Lemcke; brother-in-law, Chet Delano; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle; his brothers, Howard and Robert; sisters, Hazel Kennedy and Betty Lou Delano. Dick was a WWII and Korean War Veteran; Rochester Products Retiree; member of Hamlin VFW Post #6703.

•Peck, Elwood M., June 19, 2003, age 93. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Leona (Hendershot) Peck; two sons, Edward "Ted" (Marisa) and Christopher (Norene) Peck; four grandchildren, Douglas, Jennifer, David and Michelle Peck; two sisters, Hazel Hill and Doris Daignan; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Maurice and Milford Peck; and his sister, Corrine Newland.

HOLLEY

Kane, Karen, A. (Herring), Age 40, died suddenly on June 24, 2003. Daughter of James and Sybil (Furness) Herring. She was a licensed realtor and worked through Westridge Realty; also a buyer/purchaser for Trigen-Cinergy Solutions of Rochester. Karen was a true "sports mom" and was devoted to her family and their activities. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ed; also by her children, Stacy, age 14, Nicole, age 10, and Eddie Jr., age 8; also survived by her brothers, George (Susie Prince) Herring and James Herring, both of Holley; her father-in-law, Walter Kane of Clarendon; her best friend, Carmen Sable; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and several close friends at work. She was prede-ceased by her mother-in-law, Gail Kane.

KENDALL

Tomaschke, Marion A. (Jurs), on June 25, 2003 at age 80. She is predeceased by son, Gordon. Survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gerard Guidoni; daughter-in-law, Maria Tomaschke; several nieces and nephews.

NORTH CHILI

Daugherty, Genevieve A. (Betteridge), June 22, 2003 in Westerville, Ohio at age 90. She was predeceased by her husband Simeon S. Daugherty and her son Paul. She is survived by her two sons, Glenn (Joyce) Daugherty of Westerville, Ohio and Richard Daugherty of Gurley, Alabama; her brothers Kenneth (Marion), Richard (Doris), Gerald (Bernice) and Ronald (Janet) Betteridge; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was an elementary school teacher in the Churchville-Chili School District for many years and was the organist at Clifton Baptist Church for close to 50 years.

•Pulver, Mary W., 96, formerly of Prattsburgh, NY died June 18, 2003. Survived by her children, Jerome Douglas (Carol) Pulver of Fairport, John C. (Joyce) Pulver of Kendall, and Patricia Pulver Edwards of Hemet, California; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Fox of Naples; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Walton Pulver; daughter, Muriel P. Tomer; sister, Helen Briglin and her brother, Charles Wixom.
