Kendall graduates Jenna Gaesser and Troy Tooley have received the Scholar-Athlete Award from the Genesee Region Athletic Association. The award recognizes the difficult accomplishment of academic excellence while participating as a varsity athlete. The stringent criteria for being selected for the award include having six varsity experiences during one's high school career; achieving honorable mention or better as a league All-Star; achieving a 90 percent or better academic average in grades 9-12; and displaying outstanding character in sportsmanship, team play and citizenship. Jenna participated in varsity soccer, track and basketball, and Troy in varsity wrestling and soccer in high school, both while maintaining "A" averages. They were presented with their awards during the Genesee Region Athletic Association's June banquet.
