C-C students medal at Empire State Games

Lindsay Pegler (right) and Liz Zorn, both students at Churchville-Chili High School, won silver medals at the Empire State Games played at Niagara University. They were teammates on the Western Region Women's Scholastic Ice Hockey Team. The team went 4-1-0, with victories over New York City, Long Island, Hudson Valley and Central. The only loss occurred to Adirondack with a score of 3-2. Lindsay Pegler, who plays defense, scored two goals and had one assist and Liz Zorn, a forward, scored three goals and had two assists for the tournament.
