Sharpening skills

The BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education Center offers a six-week summer course for Cosmetology stu-dents to practice skills, earn hours and prepare for the New York State board exam. Cosmetology students must earn 1,000 hours to be eligible to take the Cosmetology board exam. During the summer course students also participate in and observe demonstrations by experts in the field, as well as provide a cosmetology clinic for the public and sharpen customer service skills.
