Scarecrow Festival returns to Springdale Farm

Back by popular demand, Springdale Farm will be hosting the Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Recent fall festivals at Springdale Farm featured a corn maze. Due to expansion at the farm, the Scarecrow Festival returns at the request of visitors.

For $5 per carload, visitors of all ages can enjoy petting the farm's barnyard animals like Peanut the miniature horse, romping on a hay house, riding a hay wagon, face painting, live music and other features. Small pumpkins will be available for purchase (priced by the pound) and children can paint them at the festival.

In addition to children's activities, the Churchville Lions Club will be hosting a chicken barbecue which offers a half-chicken dinner including salt potatoes and coleslaw for $6.50. Proceeds benefit Springdale Farm. Regular concessions will also be open.
