Ribbon cutting celebrates Spencerport project

Tours, student performances and welcoming remarks are the highlights of the gala Community Ribbon Cutting celebration on September 20 at Spencerport Schools. The event celebrates the $46 million capital project that saw the construction of the new Canal View Elementary School, remodeled and expanded facilities at Spencerport High School and Cosgrove Middle School, and new athletic facilities and fields.

The day's events begin at 10 a.m. at the high school and conclude with the varsity football game at 2 p.m.

• 10 a.m. High School Auditorium ribbon cutting with remarks by school officials.
• 11:15 a.m. Ribbon cutting at Cosgrove Middle School Cafeteria with Principal Bonnie Seaburn and Board Member William Sweeney, tours and student performances of play.
• 12:15 p.m. Welcome at Canal View Elementary School Main Entrance, tours, student activities.
• 2 p.m. Varsity Football game vs. Churchville-Chili at Trowbridge Field.
