Brockport netters take Athena

Wins at first and second singles along with second and third doubles enabled the Brockport girl's tennis team to beat Greece Athena 4-3 for their second win of the young season on their home court.

Senior Cassie Webster broke serve in her final game in a 6-2, 6-0 sweep at first singles. Junior Kara Hage battled back from deuce several times to win her second singles match 6-1, 6-2.

Junior Caitlin Myers and Kim Eichas made quick work of their opponents at second doubles 6-3, 6-1 while Nicole Jenney and Nicole Poupore gave the Blue Devils the win with a 6-3, 6-4 close match at third doubles.
