Eastern Orleans United Way/
Red Cross Campaign kicks off
Eastern Orleans' annual United Way/Red Cross campaign has a goal of $151,500. The dollars raised through the annual appeal directly benefit the services and programs offered by 11 local health and human service organizations in Orleans County.
United Way's annual 5K Race and the Orleans Manufacturers' Council (OMC) Golf Tournament held in August have the campaign off to a good start. 58 runners participated in the 5K race, raising $474 to benefit United Way-funded programs. Additionally, OMC Golf Tournament chair, Doug Cappell, Human Resource Manager at Trek, Inc., presented a check in the amount of $1,500 to United Way.
Fran and Ray Lissow, owners of Lissow Development, serve as campaign chairs of this year's appeal with Judy Koehler and Mike Bonafede, owners of Sports & Graphics, Inc. serving as campaign vice chairs.
Other campaign cabinet members include: Kathy Ahlburg, Carri Blake, Judy Christopher, Don Colquhoun, Rebecca Dillenbeck, Tina Feldman, Chris Haines, Karl and Debbie Heuer, Joe Martillotta, Karen Mitchell, Chris Ranallo, Cathy Renko, Kellie Spychalski and Nancy Zielonko.
The campaign will run until mid-November. For information on making a contribution or setting up a workplace campaign call United Way at 585-589-6455 or 585-343-8141.
