Kendall facilities project to be dedicated at Homecoming
A dedication ceremony in honor of Kendall Central School District's $4.75 million facilities project will take place during Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, October 4. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade that will head down Route 37 to Route 18 ending at Noon Boulevard, the new road that runs between the Elementary School and Jr./Sr. High School.
At 11 a.m., the dedication ceremony will begin in the parking lot between the new tennis courts and running track. Kendall Town Supervisor John Becker; Kevin Noon, who donated land to the district making the project possible; Superintendent Dr. Michael O'Laughlin; and members of the Board of Education will be on hand for the ribbon cutting. The High School Band will perform as well.
Following the ceremony, there will be track demonstrations and a tennis match, weather permitting. The varsity girls soccer game with Attica will begin at noon on the soccer fields behind the high school. The boys soccer game with Bishop Kearney begins at 2 p.m.
The public is invited to attend all the events.
