Rangers trounce Olympia
Spencerport received goals from six different players on their way to a 7-0 whitewash over Greece Olympia in high school girl's soccer.
Jessie Bartock got the Rangers on the board just :43 into the game off an assist from Sally Capetta. In the seventh minute, Laura Willit made it 2-0 when she headed in a perfect cross from the right corner by Capetta.
Bartock scored her second goal of the game when she took a pass from Alicia Beach and drilled a shot through the goalkeeper's hands and into the net for a 3-0 lead. Just one minute later, Michele Palma was taken down just above the box. Capetta took the direct kick and put it in for her third point and a 4-0 lead.
The first half closed with Elaina Plucknette using her speed to score, set up by Cassie Moyer, giving the Rangers a 5-0 lead.
They would add two more in the second half. Beach scored off a scramble after a direct kick with an assist to Stephanie Snyder for the sixth goal and Ericka Bianchi fed Jennifer Alessi for the seventh and final tally.
Becky Scroger and Ashley Dermody combined for the shutout in goal for the Rangers, who improved to 5-1-1.
