Fall programs offered by Riga Rec

Mom and Me Art, Mixed media. Youth ages 3 to 5 with adult. Wednesdays, October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Riga Recreation Office. $25 per participant.

Fine Arts Drawing, All levels welcome, one and two point perspective. Youth ages 8 to 12. Thursdays, November 6, 13, 20, December 4, 11 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Riga Recreation Office, $30 per participant.

Multi Media, Experience different art projects throughout the program, including clay projects. Youth ages 6-12. Saturdays, November 15, 22, December 6, 13, 20, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Riga Recreation Office, $35 per participant.

Christmas Ceramics for Adults. Sunday, November 16, 1 to 5 p.m., Maher Lodge at South Sanford Road Recreation Facility, $12 per piece.

Snowmobile Safety Course. Bring a writing utensil for registration and a test. Also, bring some snacks and a lunch. Depending on the weather, students may receive some actual riding lessons, dress appropriately for the weather, in layers. Boys and girls, ages 10 to 18. Monday, December 29, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Maher Lodge at South Sanford Road Recreation Facility. Free. Must pre-register with the Riga Recreation Department. Call 293-0979, leave name and phone number.

Halloween Pumpkin Hunt and Dance. Test your night time skills by using a flashlight to find prizes. Costume contest with prizes. DJ, dancing, pizza and bug juice. Bring your own flashlight and bag. For boys and girls, grades 5 to 7. Saturday, October 25 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Maher Lodge at South Sanford Road Park.

Beginners Square Dance. Music provided by the Fiddlers of the Genesee. Well-known caller Eric Rounds. No square dancing experience necessary. Caller with teach the steps and routines. Wear comfortable shoes. Saturday, November 8, Raymond C. Adams Cobblestone Hall, 22 West Buffalo Street, Churchville 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. $14 per couple $8 per person. There is no fee for spectators. Must purchase tickets in advance. Make checks payable to Riga Recreation. Tickets can be purchased at the Riga Town Hall, 8 South Main Street, Churchville.
