Hilton Family Book Club hosts local writer

Hilton Central School District's Northwood Elementary School Family Book Club, FIRST, will kickoff its year with a special event Tuesday, October 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Northwood Elementary School, 433 North Greece Road, with Rochester author Grant R. Philips (Phil Tomasso III). He will be discussing his newest release, King Gauthier and the Little Dragon Slayer, published by Port Town Publishing, September 2003. Tomasso and illustrator Greg Wiggins will be on hand at the FIRST Book Club to interact with parents and students who meet regularly at Northwood School for book discussions. King Gauthier and the Little Dragon is the club's selection for December, according to Dorothy Distefano, Northwood parent and FIRST facilitator. "Tomasso will return to FIRST to participate in our book discussions on December 9," said Distefano "which is a very exciting opportunity for the children."
