Spencerport Canal Days needs more volunteers

The Spencerport Canal Days Committee meets October 20 at 7 p.m. at the Spencerport Village Hall, 27 West Avenue. Volunteers are desperately needed. According to committee member Ellie Carr, the group has already interviewed an outside promoter/organizer and the committee is deciding whether to keep the annual event community based or turn it over to some other organization to run.

The committee membership has been dwindling over recent years and community support is mandatory to keep the festival on track, according to Carr.
