The timeless and magical Christmas classical ballet production, "The Nutcracker," will be performed at Genesee Community College (GCC) in December. Seven Ballet Theatre students were accepted to perform after the September auditions and have been attending weekend rehearsals in Batavia since. Accepted students, all Greece residents, are Brittany Touris as "Little Clara" and Mother Ginger Child, Katelynn Parmelee as "Kissy Doll" and mouse, Hilary Ricigliano as "Arabian Dancer," Waltz of Snowflakes and Waltz of Flowers, Katie Zimmerli as party child and angel, Morgan DeLapa, Kimberly Mahon and Danielle Piccione are dancers in the party scene, Waltz of Snowflakes and Waltz of Flowers. Four performances, held at GCC over the weekend of December 5 to 7, will showcase these and more dancers as they dance in front of the growing Christmas Tree. |
