Village of Brockport residents
should follow leaf collection guidelines
The Village of Brockport Department of Public Works will not start picking up loose leaves until after the final brush pickup scheduled for Monday, October 27.
Until that time, residents are asked to bag any leaves they want to get rid of. Bagging leaves will be helpful in many ways:
- They only have to be handled once.
- Bagged leaves do not get blown around by the wind.
- Bags are easier and quicker for our crews to pick up - thus saving costs.
- Bagged leaves don't get scattered around as piles do.
Bagged leaves should be placed in biodegradable paper or clear plastic bags. No garbage or trash should be placed in with the bagged leaves. This will result in the bags being left for disposal by the residents.
Call the Department of Public Works at 585-637-1060 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. with questions.
