Bees runners tops

Byron-Bergen and Kendall traveled to picturesque Holley Canal Park for a cross-country meet and the Bees came away winning both the girls and boys competitions handily.

For the girls, freshman Jillian Taylor of B-B put in the fastest time completing the course in 21:44. Twenty-five seconds later, Holley senior Susan Beatty crossed the finish line in 22:19. The Bees Stephanie Howard was third in 23:39 and Sharlyn Sheldon fourth in 23:43. Kendall's top finisher was Stacey Snyder who finished fifth in 24:08.

Byron-Bergen also dominated the boy's competition with four of the top five finishers. Mike McInally took first place in 18:41 with teammate Jon Placito second in 18:55 and twin brother Steve McInally third in 19:27. Holley senior Dennis Wisner broke up the Bees sweep by finishing fourth in 19:37 with B-B senior Holden Miller fifth in 19:42. Kendall's top boy's finisher was Collin Mitchell in 24:19.
