Saints swimmers swamp Cadets

Churchville-Chili won the first six events on their way to a 91-59 girls swimming victory over Hilton.

Tara Linehan won the 200 freestyle in 2:23.04, Jessica Belnap was tops in the 200 individual medley in 2:44.76 and Katie Mee won the 50 freestyle in 29.68. Sarahann Strembenis, Stephanie Toth and Tanya Lindenmuth swept the top three spots in the diving competition with Strembenis tallying 106.25 points.

Angie Schoeneman then won the 100 butterfly in 1:55.45 and Erin Emrich took the 500 freestyle in 6:02.37.

For the Cadets, Whitney Hickey took first place in the 100 freestyle in 1:00.99 and was part of the 200 freestyle relay team with Melanie Smith, Rachel Walker and Jackie Rode who won in 2:00.89. Hickey also won the 100 backstroke in 1:10.38. Rode teamed with Fay Hedges, Jackie Meyer and Carley Hartman to win the 400 freestyle relay.
