Target archery
in Parma
Students in the Hilton-Parma Target Archery program had a chance to see how bow strings were made when Al Howe of the Parma Archers brought his equipment to the target range. The Target Archery program will run every Saturday, with the last class on November 15. A new class will start in the spring of 2004. The program follows the rules of the National Field Archery Association, and the main factor is not the bull's-eye but safety and having fun while gaining experience. Shown, Mary Lemcke, George Flynn, and Michael Gilzow and son Kyle watch as Al Howe starts to make a bow string. For information about the program, call Hilton-Parma Recreation at 392-9030.
