Maziarz addresses Brockport Rotary

Brockport President Pam Young and New York State Senator George D. Maziarz are shown at a recent club meeting where the Senator updated the club on current state and local concerns. Maziarz first lauded the club for its part in joining with other local service and community groups in developing the unique Brockport Integrated Service and Community Organization (BISCO) concept. The bulk of the discussion centered around mandates, such as Medicaid and county finances. To the surprise of many, Medical costs are high, not because of the poor but because of the many wealthy and middle class individuals who use the system to support nursing home costs, something the system was not designed to cope with, he told the group.
