Orleans County election results
While many of the races for town supervisor and council member seats were unopposed, there were a couple of contested races in Orleans County. One of the most anticipated races was for Orleans County Sheriff. Scott Hess, former Village of Albion police chief, soundly defeated former Orleans County Deputy Sheriff Philip McKenna for the position. Hess received 4,710 votes while McKenna received 2,768.
In the Town of Clarendon, unopposed incumbent Richard Moy received 378 votes while town council members William Campbell and Allen Robinson were elected with votes of 366 and 372, respectively.
Voters in the Town of Kendall re-elected Supervisor John Becker. He garnered 478 votes. In their bids for town board seats, Christine DiNatale received 484 votes and Ellen Robinson received 468.
Murray voters re-elected Supervisor Henry Lehning. He received 598 votes. In a contested race for council member seats, Lloyd Christ retained his seat, receiving 490 votes. Also elected to a town council seat was Edwin Boyer who garnered 539 votes. Donald MacIntyre was unsuccessful in his bid for election. He received 406 votes.
