Memories of Love tree

On December 10, at the Sweden Senior Center, the lighting of the Memories of Love memorial tree will take place on the west lawn of the center, 133 State Street, at 7 p.m. The planned program will include entertainment, caroling and refreshments.

Area residents can have a light placed on the tree in memory of a deceased family member, neighbor or special friend or to honor an anniversary, birthday, marriage or a special event.

During these trying times, perhaps remembering someone in the Armed Forces or a past veteran might be a very good tribute, organizers suggest.

Donations are $5 per bulb and forms are available at the Senior Center or by calling 637-8161 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Deadline for purchase of bulbs is December 5.
