Gates Lions Club to deliver
Holiday Food Baskets in December

The Gates Lions Club annual Holiday Basket delivery is one of the the biggest projects the club undertakes. The focus is on Gates residents who might have special needs and are not being assisted by other organizations. Anyone who knows of a family whose income has been drastically reduced by a loss of employment or a senior citizen who lives alone and could use a good holiday food basket can contact the group. Community support with this project allows the Lions to service those with a true need. In 2002 the Lions delivered 113 baskets. To offer assistance in identifying Gates families and shut ins who are not being serviced by other organizations, contact Lion Jim Morrison at 426-1754 or Lion President George Hulbert at 436-4479. All information is confidential and will be researched to confirm eligibility.
