BERGEN

•Springsteen, Jeffrey Arthur, Suddenly, November 5, 2003, age 53. He was a 6th grade teacher at Wheatland-Chili Schools. Beloved husband of Terry Stowell Springsteen of Bergen; loving father of Ian R. Springsteen and Kathryn M. Springsteen, both of Bergen; brother of Sherry (Lynn) Fisher of Annapolis, Maryland.

Funeral Services were held November 10 at St. Brigid's Church, Bergen. Memorials can be made to the family to establish a scholarship fund at the Wheatland-Chili Elementary School or Boy Scout Troop #31, Bergen.


BROCKPORT

•Casseday, Ralph F., A longtime resident of Brockport, died Friday, November 7, 2003 in Mooresville, North Carolina. Predeceased by his wife, Margurette in September 2003. He is survived by his nephew Thomas W. Bruce Jr. of Tampa, Florida. Other immediate family members include Sharon R. Wood of Centennial, Colorado, Thomas W. Bruce III of Mooresville, North Carolina, Perry W. Bruce of Owasso, Oklahoma and Tammy L. Kelly of Land O'Lakes, Florida; also 14 great-great nieces and nephews, and two great-great-great niece and nephew.

A Funeral Service was held November 12 at Fowler Funeral Home. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery.


CHURCHVILLE

•Neal, Nelson S., November 9, 2003 at age 75. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Marion (Smith) Neal. He is survived by his brother Glenn E. Neal; his sisters Opal (Dallas) Embling and Gertrude (William) Embling; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Nelson was Past Master of the Grange and was a member for 56 years.

Funeral Services were held November 14 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Interment in Mumford Rural Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Churchville Volunteer Fire Department or to the Clifton Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.


•Schoeps, Bernard J., November 6, 2003 at age 86. He was predeceased by his wife, Felicitas "Phyillis" Schoeps. Survived by his sons, Daniel Schoeps of Chili and Robert (Deborah) Schoeps of Ogden; his grand-children, Ralph, Amy and L.B.; his sisters, Loretta Harrington of Florida and Dorothy Amo of Hilton; many nieces and nephews. He was a member of Local #1097 U.A.W.

A Funeral Mass was said November 10 at St. Jude's Church. Interment, private. Contributions can be directed to "Camp Good Days and Special Times" in his memory.


HILTON

•Curtis, John H., November 5, 2003, age 84. Predeceased by his son, John. Survived by his wife, Jane; children, Gary Curtis, Mike Curtis, Gerald Curtis, Lawrence (Roxanne) Curtis, Richard (Debra) Curtis, Douglas (Natasha) Trembeth, Jeanne Trembeth, Terri Trembeth; many grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass was held November 8 at St. Mark Church. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Beikirch Care Center or a charity of one's choice in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Burgio, Elizabeth J. "Betty," Age 72, November 5, 2003. Betty and her husband owned and operated Burgio Tire Company Inc. in Holley since 1960. Predeceased by her brother, Arnold Miller. Survived by her husband of 47 years, Bob; daughters, Julie (Jim) Procaccini of Delaware, Joya (Barry) Fitch of Albion; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Giovanni, Brandon, Nick; step-grandchildren, Nick, Ryan and Annie; brothers, Charles (Florence) Miller of Waterport, Gordon (Frances) Miller of Albion; sisters, Dolly Downey of Holley, Lois (Richard) Preston of Albion; brother-in-law, Bill (Paula) Burgio of Albion; sister-in-law, Linda Burgio of Waterport and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

•Coopenberg, Eileen "Bonnie" (Hammerick), Age 60, on November 11, 2003. Bonnie is survived by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service was held November 15 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Holley Ambulance in her memory.

•Johnston, Robert W., November 5, 2003 at age 85. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth (Lyness) Johnston; his daughters, Jane Snyder of Rochester and Nancy Miller of Geneseo; his son, James (Patricia) Johnston of South Byron; his granddaughter, Katie Miller; his sisters, Airetta Jean Wadsworth and Virginia (Raymond) Jacobson; his brother, Elmer (Joyce) Walters; sister-in-law Beth Walters; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Harvey Walters. He was a member of the Pioneers Club of Eastman Kodak Company.
