calls new pastor Parma Baptist "Community" Church has called a new Pastor, Rev. David Chhangte. He began his pastoring duties at Parma Baptist mid-November. Rev. David Chhangte was ordained by the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he served as Pastor after graduating from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He most recently served as Associate Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Providence, Rhode Island for the past three years. He was born in Jorhat, India and grew up as a missionary and pastor kid in NE India. His parents and some siblings still reside in India. Parma Baptist Church members say they are grateful to have had for the past couple of years as their Interim Pastor the Rev. Dr. Dean Nemecek. The church had a combined welcome and farewell service for David Chhangte and Dean and Sylvia Nemecek on a recent Sunday. Parma Baptist "Community" Church, 4997 Ridge Road West, just east of the Route 259 intersection, begins worship service each Sunday at 10 a.m. with Sunday School following the worship service. |
