Holley receives New York Good Sports Award

Holley Jr./Sr. High School Principal Michael Gilbert (left) and Athletic Director John J. Grillo display the award Holley School District received for promoting good sportsmanship. To qualify, Grillo completed a lengthy evaluation form describing the programs that have been implemented to promote good sportsmanship within the school, such as sportsmanship posters in the gym, handbooks for coaches, athletes and parents, and the presence of an administrator at each home event. Holley was one of approximately seven Section V schools that received this award from New York state.
