Schippmann, Werner, Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at age 88. He was predeceased May 31, 2003 by his wife of 52 years, Edit Schippmann. He is survived by six daughters, Kate (Ernst) Timm, IIse Reichert, Friedel (Ulrich) Saager, Karin (Gerhard) Saager, Christel (Leonard) Petitti and Inge Schippmann; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held December 6 at Concor-dia Lutheran Church, Kendall.
BROCKPORT
Maples, Rosalie C. (Dilcher), "Grandma Rose," age 85, died November 25, 2003 at Park Ridge Hospital following a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Dilcher Sr.; son Karl Dilcher; sisters Jessie Stirk, Mildred Mosher; brother James McBride II. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Rex) Horton of Albion; sons Herbert (Nancy) Dilcher Jr. and Paul Dilcher both of Brockport; four grandchildren Cheryl Sorce of Rochester, Dawn McNamara of Batavia, Illinois, Karl Dilcher and Corrine Weinbeck both of Brockport; six great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Fessenden of Wolcott; brothers Edward McBride and Albert McBride both of Brockport; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A Funeral Service was held December 2 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Holley. Interment Mt. Albion Cemetery.
CLARKSON
Stanton, Agnes Brown, Predeceased by her husbands, Claude Brown and Wilber Stanton, and son Robert Joseph Brown. Survived by her children, Shirley Wright, Joanne (Donald) Blank, Patricia (Clifford) Donahue and Thomas (Carla) Brown; sister, Bernice Redmond; niece Dorothy (John) Lanigan, 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Step-children, Barbara Stanton, Carol Calbout, Charles Stanton, Gerald (Kathy) Stanton; many cousins, dear friends and neighbors. Agnes was a long-time resident of Clarkson and a member of Clarkson Community Church. She retired from Lakeside Memorial Hospital in 1977.
Funeral Services were held October 27, 2003 at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Rochester. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to Clarkson Community Church, Lakeside Foundation or The American Heart Association in her memory.
HAMLIN
Sietmann, Wilbur R., "Bill, Zeke, Little Willy" died November 30, 2003 at the NYS Veterans Home in Batavia after a short battle with cancer. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Hamlin American Legion and St. John Lutheran Church, Hamlin. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Louise; four children, Laura (Daniel) Gleason of Albion, John (Jean) Sietmann of Murray, Norman (Darlene) Sietmann of Holley, Charles Sietmann of Holley; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Gleason of Brockport, Danielle Gleason of Albion, John Sietmann Jr., Jamie Sietmann, and Jason Sietmann of Albion, Matthew Sietmann and Ashley Sietmann of Holley; four great grandchildren, Nathan, Tyler, Austin J. and Dominic Sietmann; brother, Richard J. (Anna) Sietmann of Florida; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sietmann of Rochester and Shirley (George) Paul of Hamlin; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Gail) Christ of Holley, Norman (Betty) Christ of Brockport, and Walter (Cindy) Christ of Kent; many nieces and nephews.
Private services were held. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the NYS Veterans Home in Batavia.
HOLLEY
Childs, Fern O., died December 1, 2003 at 76 years old after a long illness. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Alton; children, Cherie (Ward) Gates of Hilton, Christine (Ross) Thompson of Kendall, Daniel (Rosemary) Childs of Hilton; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Nina (Robert) Timerman of Watertown; brother, Lester Farnham of East Haven, Connecticut; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was a past matron of the Kendall Eastern Star and an active member of St. Paul's Apostles at her church.
A Memorial Service was held December 6 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Holley. Interment, Trinity Episcopal Church, West Ridge Road at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Lupus Foundation, 500 Helendale Road, Rochester, NY 14609 in her memory.
KENDALL
Robinson, Catherine, died December 3, 2003, age 80 years. Predeceased by her husband, Walter. Survived by her son, David (Ellen) Robinson of Kendall; daughter, Karen (James) Schwenzer of Dansville; brother, Donald (Nancy) Conklin of Dansville; sister, Lucille (Clair) Shull of Hulberton; sister-in-law, Dorothy Robinson of Florida; sister-in-law, Alice Caldwell; and six grandchildren, Brett, Jyl, Lee Robinson, Marne (Kevin) Johnson and Justin, Aimee Schwenzer; one great grandchild, Jacob; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, December 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hindle Funeral Home, Main Street, Dansville, NY followed by funeral service. Memorials can be made to Concordia Lutheran Church in Kendall.
