gets new pumper A new pumper has joined the fleet of equipment at Spencerport Volunteer Fire Department. The new truck, number 2912, manufactured by Pierce, carries 750 gallons of water, can pump a minimum of 1,500 gpm and has an eight kilowatt generator. Truck 2,912 and some new equipment was purchased by the Spencerport Fire District for $321,000. It replaces a 1979 Seagrave (number 294) that had an open cab and a standard transmission. 294 was one of the last in the county and was due for replacement in 1999. |
