Bausch and Lomb sponsors Churchville-Chili
Senior High School FIRST Robotics Team

Bausch and Lomb (B&L), will sponsor the 2003-2004 Churchville-Chili Senior High School FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Team. The FIRST Robotics team is an extracurricular activity at Churchville-Chili Senior High School and focuses on engineering and design. Students on this team apply math, science and technology principles in order to create a robot.

B&L has provided $12,000 to the team. This sponsorship will cover the robot construction costs and costs to compete in upcoming regional and national FIRST Robotics competitions.

B&L officials have also agreed to help with travel arrangements, training, and access to facilities with specialized machines. In addition, there will be opportunities to meet and share strategies with B&L's other team, Edison Tech.

Since 2000, C-C FIRST Robotics teams have received ten top awards at regional and national competitions.
