Bees & Eagles battle to tie

Six forfeits, six pins by Kendall and two more by Byron-Bergen led to a 42-42 tie as the two rivals battled in high school wrestling. The Bees were awarded the victory however, when a Kendall wrestler was disqualified for a "flagrant misconduct" during the match. By rule, when there is a tie and a flagrant misconduct, the team to which the misconduct was committed is declared the winner.

The Bees' Gary Engle won by pin in :19 at 215 lb. and Jake Terrance also won by pin in 2:54 at 171 lb.

Kendall pins were by J.D. Bauer in 5:28 at 112 lb. Geoff Chippendale in 5:44 at 125 lb., Josh Pak in :36 at 145 lb., Donald Williams in 2:29 at 152 lb., Torry Tooley in 1:32 at 160 lb. and Wes Snyder in :41 at 189 lb.

Five of the forfeits, including the disqualification, went to Byron-Bergen. The Bees improve to 2-0 on the young season with the win.
