Spencerport teams qualify for scholar awards
Eight Spencerport fall athletic teams qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the fall 2003 season. In order to qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90 percent or above. Their team grade point averages and coaches were: Girls Swim student-athletes who qualified are Sara Daggett, Emily Knight, Danielle Smith, Sara Caitlin, Lena Ann SanFilipo, Maura McGuire, Jessica Diehl, Maryanne Eisenberg, Vera Vilbusch, Elyse Benamati and Jamie Pinto. Girls Cross Country student-athletes who qualified are Heather Newton, Heather Cassidy, Sandra Goettelman, Tracy Webster, Sarah Templeton, Jennifer Katz and Laura Uschold. Girls Soccer student-athletes who qualified are Diana Hemm, Stephanie Snyder, Rebecca Scroger, Cassandra Moyer, Katelyn Clark, Julie Hinman, Jesica Bartock, Tricia Zambito, Melissa D'Agostino, Jennifer Alessi, Samantha Hawn and Erika Bianchi. Boys Volleyball student-athletes who qualified are Matthew Larson, Brian Conlon, Jonathan Van Scoter, Jonathon Baker, Brandon Waas, Cameron Sformo, Ryan Crosby and Jason Chandler. Girls Tennis student-athletes are Krysta Ferraro, Stephanie Wahba, Megan Hannigan, Elizabeth Ann Paoletti, Heather Dorofy, Sarah Berner, Cali Zimmerman, Julie Yanklowski and Lauren Parkhurst. Boys Soccer student-athletes who qualified are Christopher Farnsworth, Michael Placito, Jason Bloom, Christopher Somers, Anthony Simonetti, Antonio Miceli, Christopher Goettel, Andrew Morgan, Corey Evans, Christopher Albano, Justin Danehy and Nicholas Droegmoeller. Boys Cross Country student-athletes who qualified are Matthew Merritt, Sean Brinkman, Nicholas Lowe, Peter Moore, Donald Hampton, John Horner and Christopher Burke. Football student-athletes who qualified are Brian Kohler, Matthew Legas, Bryan Darrow, Adam Arcara, Michael Zazzaro, Robert Husted, Gregory Sandera, Joel Vickers, Michael SanFilipo, Joseph Militello, Christopher Dettman and Sean Simpson. |
