Terenzi wins 100th as Rangers romp

Senior Mike Terenzi won the 100th match of his high school career and Eric Piedmonte registered the only pin of the match as four-time state champion Spencerport defeated Greece Olympia 36-15 in high school wrestling.

Terenzi was the final match of the meet at 152 lb. and he won 14-8 while Piedmonte pinned his man in 2:36 at 103 lb. to lead the Rangers.

Seniors Matt Legas at 171 lb. and Brett Woodward at 135 lb. won by technical fall in 4:15 and 5:21 respectively. Sophomore Mike Hicks won his first varsity match 1-0 at 125 lb.

Other winners for the Rangers were Mike Collura at 160 lb., Sebastian Balivea at 189 lb., Alex Baxter at 215 lb. and Jason Woodward at 130 lb. The Rangers improved to 2-0 on the young season.
