Coach Chow Holiday Classic to be held at RWC

Roberts Wesleyan College, Wendy's Restaurants of Rochester, the American Cancer Society and Spencerport Central Schools, will be hosting the 13th Annual "Coach Chow" Holiday Classic Girls Basketball Tournament on December 29 and 30 at Roberts Wesleyan College.

This year's tournament features Churchville-Chili, Gates Chili, Brockport and host, Spencerport.

Games on Monday, December 29 feature Gates-Chili vs. Spencerport at 5:15 p.m., followed by Brockport vs. Churchville-Chili at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, December 30, the consolation game is at 5:15 p.m. and the championship game is at 7 p.m.

The tournament is named for the very popular long-time Spencerport Girls Varsity Basketball coach, Don "Coach Chow" Wierzchowski, who passed away in 2001 from pancreatic cancer. Proceeds of the tournament will be donated to the American Cancer Society in "Coach Chow's" name.
