Boy Scout Troop 292 Eagle Scout Court of Honor - November 20, 2003
Boy Scout Troop 292 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on November 20, at the Churchville Chili High School to recognize Andrew W. Tschorke for earning the rank of Eagle. For his Eagle Scout service project, Andy organized a group of scouts to clear and mulch a new trail and build a bridge in the Paul Road School Nature Center.
Andy is the son of Steve and Betsy Tschorke and younger brother to Greg, also an Eagle Scout. A junior at Gates Chili High School, Andy participates on the Tennis team, Ski Club, Service Club and has been a band member for over seven years.
Andy began his Scouting years as a Tiger Cub in Pack 402 at Paul Road Elementary School and joined Troop 292 in 1998. He progressed through the ranks and was accepted by the Otetiana Council Eagle Scout Board of Review in October 2003. In July 2001, Andy had the privilege of attending the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Virginia. Andy plans to attend college and participate in the Air Force ROTC program where he dreams of becoming a pilot.
The ceremony included awarding Tenderfoot Rank to Andrew Burns, Denis Dobles, Brandon Enright, David Fink, Bryan Fox, Jared Lepore, John Maffett, Ryan McConnell, Joe Meleca, Tim Randall, Nick Scipioni, Ian Shelanskey, Stephen Williamson and Nick Zeghdani. Star Rank was awarded to Eric DiCiaccio, John Lawniczak and Ken Piasecki. Jeff Jacques and Bobby Maffet received their Life Rank.
