Among area students named to the dean's list at SUNY Geneseo for the 2003 fall semester were:

  • Michelle Dale, Hilton, a senior, childhood/special education major;
  • Elaine Dean, Spencerport, a sophomore, biology major;
  • Allison Roether, Churchville, a junior, business administration major;
  • Jocelyn Rutter, Spencerport, a senior, childhood/special education major;
  • Sheena McMillan, Holley, a senior, history, adolescent education, social studies major.

Jared Gillis, of Davey Crescent, Ogden, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2003 quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A fifth-year student in RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering, Gillis is studying electrical engineering.

He is the son of Donald and Sherry Gillis and a 1999 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School.

Army Pvt. Vincent M. Angie has graduated from basic combat military training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma.

Angie is the son of Joseph and Susan Vetromile of Terry Lane, Rochester and a 2003 graduate of Spencerport High School.

Army Pvt. Steven J. Kelly Jr. has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Kelly is the son of Anita Kelly of Maywood Avenue, Rochester, and Steve Kelly Sr. of Peach Blossom Circle, Hilton. He is a 2001 graduate of Hilton High School.

Air Force Airman Guy D. Helfgott has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Debbie Breeze of Sandy Brook Drive, Hamlin, and Eric Helfgott of Pavilion Towers, Columbia, South Carolina. He is a 1999 graduate of Hilton High School.
