Statewide student financial aid day set for February
SUNY College at Brockport will be hosting a day-long financial aid workshop for prospective students and their families, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, February 7. The workshop is designed to answer questions and provide assistance regarding financial aid application, types of aid available and the award process. These workshops are also being held at many other State University of New York institutions across the state.
Financial Aid professionals will be on hand to provide assistance in completing the Free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for all financial aid. FAFSA assistance includes a line-by-line review of the form and directions on completing the FAFSA on the Web. Students and parents must have previously applied for and received a federal personal identification number (PIN), and have completed the pre-application worksheet. Both the PIN application and worksheet are available on the internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Attendees can also select from activities including a general Financial Aid Information Session, an information session by the college's Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and a campus tour.
Students and their families can get more information or register for the workshop at www.suny.edu/studentevents, or call (800) 342-3811 or (585) 395-2501. Reservations are strongly recommended.
