Scott Hopsicker, former Brockport varsity football coach and current JV football coach, was named as the recipient of the first James Fallon Award.
Jim Fallon is the current superintendent of the Brockport Schools. The award is dedicated to him and will be presented annually by the Brockport Football Booster Club to an outstanding individual who exemplifies leadership, dedication, commitment and humanitarian qualities, including integrity, sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the game of football.
Long time sports booster Tony Liccione, whose son, Tony Jr., graduated from Brockport High School in 2003 and played on the varsity football team, recently stated: "Jim Fallon is a credit to the community. He is a man who exemplifies all the good in the Brockport School's Sports Programs." Liccione continued, "Coach Hopsicker brings an intensity and discipline to the football team. He, along with current varsity football coach Greg Pelletier and the other coaches involved in the program, turned the program around. Coach Hopsicker, as the varsity coach, was the main factor in Brockport football's rise."
