Free-throw winners announced

The St. Leo's Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Contest was held on Saturday, December 27 at the Hilton Village Community Center. Boys and girls between the ages of 10-14 were given the opportunity to shoot 15 free throws, and the number successfully made was compared to the total of other participant's totals in the same age bracket.

The next round of the competition will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 9 a.m. in the gymnasium at St. Jude's Church, 4100 Lyell Road. The winners will advance to other regional competitions and may eventually compete at West Point for a state championship.

The following youth were winners in their age bracket and will represent Hilton at St. Jude's on February 7. Boys: age 10 - Michael Meeks, Age 11 - Foster Armendinger, Age 12 - Andrew Lang, Age 13 - Phil Smith, Age 14 - Mike Fowler; Girls: Age 13 - Heather Norris.
