'Invite a Friend' church campaign
at Spencerport churches Feb. 8
The cooperating churches of Spencerport Ecumenical Ministries are joining forces in a unique inter-denominational campaign to bring fresh vitality to congregations in the area. On February 8, these churches will be sponsoring "Invite a Friend" Sunday. Those active in the participating congregations are being encouraged to invite a friend to attend services with them on that date.
Members of the community are especially invited to consider attending one of the churches in the Spencerport area on February 8. Pastors of the churches involved in Spencerport Ecumenical Ministries are encouraging their congregations to invite friends, neighbors and co-workers to worship with them.
According to Rev. Laura Dalton, current president of the ecumenical group, "the churches of the Spencerport community are always glad to welcome new faces and new friends. We hope that this special emphasis will be an encouragement not only to our own church members, but also to many in our area who may have been hesitant to attend a worship service on their own. Come with a friend or neighbor to Invite A Friend Sunday!"
The church participating in this special event include Adam's Basin United Methodist Church, First Congregational Church U.C.C., Ogden Baptist Church, Ogden Presbyterian Church, Parma Baptist Community Church, Spencerport United Methodist Church, Spencerport Assembly of God, Spencerport Wesleyan Church, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church.
