B-B students ace PageTurner Competition

Students at Byron-Bergen Elementary School placed second in the local PageTurners competition on January 21. This was the first time that the elementary school participated in this annual competition sponsored by Genesee Valley BOCES. PageTurners is a reading competition where students are required to read a variety of books and then compete in a quiz bowl format. The students have the opportunity to submit questions for the competition. Those who participated are: Jacob Bliss, Haley Howard, Angela Mucica, Destry Mullen, Nick Prospero, Alyssa Reff, Ashley Sheelar, Paul Sperr, Colleen Stevens, Briana Strassner, Courtney Taylor and Rachel Winter. Joyce Cullum, Elementary School Media Library Specialist, is helping the group prepare for the next competition.
