Brockport village swears in two officials
Village of Brockport officials welcomed a part time police officer and a village treasurer and issued the oaths of office to both men at the regular board meeting on February 2.
Officer Ralph Gleason was inducted to the police force as a part time officer while Ian M. Coyle was sworn in as the village's new treasurer. Brockport's present treasurer, Scott Rightmyer, will be retiring in June. Coyle will be serving as deputy treasurer until that time.
In other matters:
- The board accepted, with regret, the resignation of Michelle Pedley as part time police officer.
- Fire department officials noted that they have responded to 159 ambulance calls and 75 fire calls. There have been three fatal motor vehicle accidents that fire and ambulance officials have responded to as well.
- Code Enforcement Officer Scott Zarnstorff requested a resolution appointing Pam Ketchum to the Assessment Board of Review.
- Zarnstorff reported that Ron Ott has completed classes and testing is now a D.O.S. certified building inspector technician.
- There will not be a second board meeting in February because of planned absences by board members. The next village board meeting will be March 1.
