Nursing scholarship offered
by Orleans County American Legion

The Orleans County American Legion is offering a Nursing scholarship to an Orleans County resident who will graduate from high school in June 2004.

The applications are now available in the school counselor's offices in the following school districts: Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville and Medina.

The scholarship recipient must be accepted into an accredited program leading to a degree in nursing. The scholarship will be awarded for two years, $500 each year.

For information, candidates can also contact a local American Legion Post for the name of the Legionnaire on the Nursing Scholarship Committee. The applications must reach the appropriate committee by Thursday, April 15. Committee members will then meet and make their selection.
