Timothy C. Smallidge, of Whittier Road, Rochester, has been named to the dean's list for the fall quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A third-year student in RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering, Smallidge is studying mechanical engineering.

The son of Charles and Joyce Smallidge, he is a 2001 graduate of Spencerport High School.


The following Nazareth College students have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2003 semester: Laurance Bish, North Chili and Laura Rupp, Spencerport.

Students named to the dean's list must be enrolled full time and must earn a grade point index of 3.5 or higher for the semester.


Area residents who are students at the University of Scranton have been named to the dean's list for the 2003 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the dean's list.

Among those named: Janine M. Blasioli, Lyell Street, Spencerport, a sophomore, international business major; and Lynda R. Chauncey, Meadow Creek Circle, Rochester, a freshman, physical therapy major.


Emily Judith Georger of Hamlin, a community health major at SUNY Potsdam, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2003 semester.

She is the daughter of James Georger of Hamlin.

To achieve the honor of being on the dean's list, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically graded semester hours that semester with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49.


The following local students were named to the dean's list for the 2003 fall semester at Messiah College: Jeffrey Reczek of Rochester, a first-year student majoring in politics; Kristen Hess of Rochester, a junior majoring in sociology; Jane Lanphear of Rochester, a junior majoring in health and physical education.

Dean's list is earned by receiving a 3.6 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.


Patrick Hastings of Nothnagle Realtors has been honored among the top 15 sales agents in a company comprised of over 700 associates. For the second year in a row, Hastings received the Top 25 award at the firm's annual awards luncheon. Hastings, who is affiliated with the Chili-Ogden office, has also been ranked the Top Agent for 2003 - an award he has earned consecutively since 1997.

Hastings has received numerous other awards. Among them the coveted Salesmaster Gold award, which he has received from the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors every year since 1998. This award is given to sales agents who have closed 60 or more transactions in a 12-month period. He has also received both the Zenith and Pinnacle Award presented by the Women's Council of Realtors. He served as a Nothnagle branch office manager for five years and served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors

Hastings has 25 years experience in real estate and a production level of $7.5 million in sales.


Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Brian M. Henner, son of Elizabeth S. and Mike E. Henner of Hamlin, reported for duty with Marine Detachment, Fort Meade, Maryland.

Henner is a 2002 graduate of Brockport High School and joined the Marine Corps in January 2003.
