Garth Fagan Dance returns to SUNY Brockport

Garth Fagan Dance (GFD) returns to SUNY College at Brockport for an informal showing of new work and well-loved pieces Wednesday, February 25.

Sharon Vasquez, dean of the School of Arts and Performance, says, "I am thrilled that our longstanding relationship with Distinguished Professor Emeritus Garth Fagan can result in such a highly anticipated visit by his company to our campus. The lecture/demonstration will be a terrific experience for our dance students, certainly, but a treat for community members who attend as well."

In addition to the college's connection with Fagan himself, GFD Company Manager Bit Knighton continues to teach Arts Management at the college, along with Grady Bailey III, former executive director of GFD. Also, Brockport alumna Nicolette DePass '94 dances with the company.

The 7 p.m. concert, in Hartwell Dance Theater, Kenyon Street, is free, however tickets will be required. Call 585-395-ARTS or visit the Tower Fine Arts Center Box Office for tickets.
