Clarkson residents advised
of new assessment data process
As part of the Reassessment Project 2004, new preliminary full value assessments will be mailed to all property owners in the Town of Clarkson.
Town of Clarkson Assessor Pamela Dolliver said that 2004 Disclosure Notices be mailed beginning Monday, March 1, and continuing to be mailed through Friday, March 5. Instructions will be included with each notice indicating the procedures for requesting an informal hearing, how to obtain forms and where to get information. Dolliver reminds property owners to focus on the full market value estimate. Anyone who does not agree with this estimate and who can offer proof for a change, can follow the process of filing a complaint. Informal hearings will be held beginning March 23 through April 3. Appointments will be required.
Beginning Wednesday, March 10, a special satellite site for public access will be ready for operation. This site is created to better serve property owners and will provide information regarding property assessments, inventory data and sales information.
The satellite site is located at the Seymour Library, 161 East Avenue, and is open Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning Wednesday, March 10 and continuing through Saturday, April 3.
