Churchville Chamber announces award winners

The Harvey C. Noone Post 954 of the American Legion will receive the Churchville Chamber of Commerce's 2003 Citizens of the Year Award at the group's annual awards dinner on Thursday, March 11 at the Johnson House Restaurant. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. following social time starting at 6:30 p.m. They are being recognized for their many contributions to the betterment of the Riga-Churchville community. Their donation of land helped make possible the building of the new Riga Town offices on Buffalo Road.

Chris and Lisa Steubing, owners of Gatherings at the Senator's Mansion, will receive the Business of the Year award.

Linda Gathmann will receive the Civic Beautification award for her efforts to maintain and beautify the grounds of the Newman-Riga Library.

Tickets are $20 per person and are available for purchase at the Riga Town offices, Churchville village offices and the Johnson House Restaurant. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, March 5.
